Prince of the Iron Cap

As alluded to in a previous post, after all the hype surrounding the National Palace Museum - it's a repository of 3000 years of Chinese history and culture (!) and is the most must-see of all the must-see sights on the entire island (!) - we found it a bit underwhelming.

But some of the blame for this also has to be placed at the little feet of Prince Gong here, as we came across this photo about 5 minutes into the visit and immediately knew that nothing else in the palace could possibly top him in terms of the sheer enjoyment provided.

He looks, and his biography reads, like the museum directors let the guys from Wu Tang Clan use AI to create a fake historical figure from which they retroactively drew all of their artistic inspiration. It's perfect in every way. His nickname is 'Prince of the Iron Cap' for Confucius' sake!
